After previous planning applications for a plot subdivision were unsuccessful, the client contacted baron + baron architects to prepare design proposals which retained the existing house and adapt it to suit their changing family needs. We were delighted to be involved with the project and enjoyed working closely with them to establish their brief and aspirations.

It was agreed that we would focus on reworking the internal spaces to provide a modern feel to the property. We carried out several different design options for the client and ultimately decided on a contemporary ground floor rear extension, which would also provide a roof terrace at first floor levels. The extension was also complimented by some internal remodelling to help the house flow better.

The scheme was awarded planning consent back in 2015.
